At this time, the education base is currently under construction and will likely be completed in the year 2009. When finally completed, the SZFA furniture education base will come to represent a significant and historical breakthrough for China’s economic development by being the first education base for furniture and the first of any industry in China.

The SZFA education base is strategically located in Longnan, Jiangxi Province positioned just north of Guangdong Province. The area possesses several advantages including having a large population of potential students, technical workers and craftsmen that can benefit greatly from the education base. Currently, the town of Longnan relies on several polytechnic schools to supply manufacturers with skilled craftsmen and the government is now going to entrust those schools to the care of the SZFA Education Base.

SZFA has spent a total of RMB 120 million to build the Education Base and will hire instructors to train 10,000 workers and 500 managers per year including workers from currently operating manufacturing companies. The project comes together as SZFA completes the construction of the education center and then uses its channels to establish a convenient and organized path for educated students and workers to team up with manufacturing groups. SZFA has taken a very professional approach towards planning and preparing for the Education Center and will continue to work hand in hand with community leaders in Longnan and furniture groups nationwide to make this project succeed.
