With the Huizhou and Chengdu projects still in the planning stages, Shenzhen remains the only one of the three fully operating today. The industrial park in Shenzhen was the first furniture industrial base to operate in mainland China and after quickly outgrowing its facilities, the Shenzhen project plans to expand westward into the neighboring city of Huizhou. SZFA supports the Huizhou and Shenzhen projects in hopes of saving local manufacturers from having to relocate or go out of business.

As SZFA strives to unify the traditional and experienced manufacturers in order to keep the furniture industry local, it remains a key factor in finding land for the most qualified manufacturers and planning an organized system for operation. The Shenzhen and Huizhou projects are the first industrial parks in China to specialize exclusively in one industry. Since different manufacturers specialize in different parts of production prices not only go down but also efficiencies and quality increase. Furthermore, the design of the furniture products improves as a result of more time, energy and money being devoted towards creative thinking and innovation.

As the Shenzhen and Huizhou industrial bases focus on preserving a valuable location for export, the third industrial base in Chengdu positions itself well for the domestic market. Together these projects serve to maintain momentum and a stable vision for China¡¯s entire furniture industry.
